Terms of Sale
These terms cover buying through Vintry. Vintry is a curated marketplace operated by Uwa Osagie, a sole trader in the United Kingdom (contact info@vintry.shop). We list and sell genuine pieces on behalf of independent vintage shops. When you place an order, your contract for that purchase is with Vintry, and we are your point of contact for it.
One-of-a-kind stock
Almost everything on Vintry is unique, and the same piece may also be on the rail in the physical shop. We keep stock in sync, but in the rare case an item sells in store at the same moment you order it online, we will cancel that order and refund you in full. Nothing else is affected.
Placing an order
Your order is an offer to buy. A contract forms once your payment is confirmed and your order is accepted. If we cannot fulfil an order, we will tell you and refund any payment in full.
Prices and payment
Prices are in pounds sterling and include any applicable taxes. Delivery is shown separately at checkout. Payment is taken securely through Stripe at the time you order. We do not store your card details.
Delivery
We ship across the UK, normally within 48 hours of your order, by Royal Mail or a comparable courier. Delivery times are estimates. Risk in the item passes to you on delivery.
Condition of vintage items
Every piece is pre-owned and sold as described. Genuine vintage carries honest signs of age, and we describe notable flaws in the listing. If anything is unclear before you buy, just ask.
Your right to cancel and return
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 you have 14 days from receiving your item to cancel and return it for a refund, for any reason. To start a return, email info@vintry.shop. Return the item unworn and in its original condition. We refund the price you paid within 14 days of getting the item back. Unless the item was faulty or not as described, you cover the cost of return postage.
Faulty or misdescribed items
Your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 always apply. If an item arrives faulty or significantly different from its description, contact us and we will put it right with a repair, replacement or refund.
Our liability
We do not exclude any liability that cannot be excluded by law, including your statutory rights as a consumer. Beyond that, our liability for any order is limited to the price you paid for it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes fall to its courts.
